No! What’s this?
Over the past few months (or at least weeks) I’ve been going through new learning stage. Only 10 optimization events are required over three days.
So glorious! This makes Learning phase Almost non-existent. It learns, and then it learns in an instant. You’ll worry less about studying when you know you’ll quit studying soon.
But now I’m back to optimizing 50 campaigns in 7 days. No explanation. It’s back to how it was before, as if nothing happened.
What happened and does it matter?
What I saw before was probably part of a test. Meta’s official documentation The learning phase still reflects 50 events over 7 days, so there is no clear evidence that this will be a permanent change.
Not clear either how important is this. If the monitor still shows 10 events over three days, will I notice any difference in performance or delivery? The learning phase definitely has a psychological impact and can mess up the minds of advertisers.
Nonetheless, everything seemed to work well during the learning phase of 10 events. And it feels like once I get back to 50 (which means I’m now back to studying), the delivery and performance becomes less consistent.
