Ten years ago, Jessica Spencer made a six-hour trip to Atlanta. Like many road trip warriors, she decided to pass the time with a podcast.
That was the first time Jessica heard it Smart Passive Income Podcasta show that still runs weekly, with Pat Flynn at the microphone. She was attracted to Pat’s customer-focused approach to marketing. What Jessica No As her car ambled along a Georgia highway, she knew where the podcast would lead her.
Nine years later, she discovered SPI’s All-Access Pass community and her entrepreneurial journey was never the same.
Advocate of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
As an early adopter of artificial intelligence, Jessica (a self-described “complete computer geek”) quickly realized that AI technology had the potential to change the way we work, live and do business.
It all started with getting IBM Watson certified through Coursera, Jessica built a model that could recognize different dog breeds, and created her own chatbot. “It opens a lot of doors,” she said. Soon, she began exploring AI’s capabilities for drafting written content, writing custom code for websites, and more.
But the real breakthrough came when she and her husband, a sixth-grade teacher, started discussing what artificial intelligence could do for people like him. This talk is the starting point for a course on teachers using ChatGPT.
“Artificial intelligence is a dynamic thing,” Jessica said. “There are so many opportunities to use this to improve our lives.”
Simply put, Jessica’s goals as an AI advocate are ambitious. “I hope to help thousands of people improve their lives by learning how to use artificial intelligence and other technologies in authentic and consistent ways,” she said. On a personal level, Jessica’s goals include increasing transparency in the political investment space and raising awareness about the foster care adoption system, a cause she is very passionate about.
Speaking of – Jessica did it all As a mother of five children. When asked how she does this, she laughed and said, “I try to make sure I take my ADHD medication.” She continued, “My husband, Noah, is amazing and very supportive of my entrepreneurial journey. . Setting expectations and sticking to my boundaries with my kids is something I’ve started to do recently is to set aside time on my calendar to do activities with my kids. Date Nights Become More Regular It’s easy to get caught up in the daily hectic to-do list, so it’s important to be mindful of where my time is going to make sure it’s fully aligned with my priorities.

Jessica left her corporate career, most recently as marketing director for a large healthcare IT company, and knew she needed a supportive community. She can find inspiration, get questions answered, connect with other entrepreneurs and learn key skills as she continues to grow her brand. That place is All-Access Pass, SPI’s learning community built around community-driven courses.
She soon found herself immersed in an inspiring community that she could access anytime, anywhere. As she continued to build her LLC, Penguin Connective, she decided to transition to the SPI Pro community, a membership for proven entrepreneurs.
“Being a part of this, everyone is pushing each other, but with such a high level of support – you see what is possible,” she said. “There’s a sense of responsibility and it’s really motivating.”
Jessica cites SPI Pro’s high level of participation as one of the key factors in her growth. In SPI’s community, she found a place where she could not only verify or answer quickly, but also actually participate and further discuss topics through message threads, mastermind calls, and more. “People are genuinely interested in each other’s lives, rather than liking something just to get attention,” she said.
She is able to connect one-on-one with other members and unlock new opportunities for collaboration. “This is a deeper connection than I’ve found elsewhere before,” she stresses.

Arguments with Imposter Syndrome
Jessica doesn’t hesitate to emphasize how supported she feels by the community. However, the most important transformation she experienced was her mindset. “When I started out as an entrepreneur, I thought I would just go with the flow…I had an MBA, a marketing background and almost 20 years of corporate experience,” she said. “What I didn’t expect was the mindset work I needed to do. Imposter syndrome is a bear.
Through one-on-one calls with other members, Jessica found more direction and clarity in her journey, leading her to realize next steps and discover the deeper work ahead. Additionally, her experience has given her a healthier perspective on the entrepreneurial journey; she now sees “failures” as opportunities to learn and grow.
A podcast, a community, a bright future
During some of Jessica’s one-on-one calls with other members, she realized she wanted to do something she’d never thought of doing before—start a podcast. Although she describes herself as an introvert, the community helped her realize that she had to share these great conversations about artificial intelligence with a wider audience. As part of a community full of podcasters and entrepreneurs, she’s in a perfect position—many community members have been guests on the show, and Artificial Intelligence Elf was born.
Now, Jessica is building a community for others who want to use artificial intelligence to have a meaningful impact on the world. Artificial Intelligence Explorer was born, whose mission is to “demystify artificial intelligence and allow you to see a world of possibilities beyond the conventional paths of content creation.” She sees SPI’s Community Business Blueprint course as key to the community’s success. “I think sometimes as entrepreneurs we feel like we’re throwing spaghetti against the wall and seeing what sticks,” she said. “Especially with this course, I really feel like I have a path to laying the foundation and creating a really solid structure.”
When talking about Jessica’s next step, the word “scope” comes to mind. She is currently creating an AI course for musicians and another for entrepreneurs.
“I hope to be able to travel the world with my family and create beautiful memories while building a safer future for us in our own way,” she stressed.
With the support of a strong community, she is well on her way.
