12 Effective Tips for Promoting on Twitter

Today happens to be the first anniversary of my departure Get started with Twitter

During this time, I wrote 735 tweets.

I tried dozens of formats to find my style, learn what worked and what didn’t, and started growing views and followers.

The goal is to get the post more than 100 views, not just 10-20, and promote my brand and products.

Here’s what I’ve tried:
– Let’s link posts
– Posts with formatting and emoticons
– Tag companies and celebrities
– Video in the post
– Posts with images – try different styles and designs
– GIF post
– Retweet other people’s posts
– Post created using ChatGPT
– Personal photos and videos
– Post a post
– question
– Reply and forward
– Tips and polls
– short essay
– Long post
– Copy recent viral posts
– Posted 5 times a day
– One article per day
– Post at different times of the day
– memes

But nothing worked – my posts only got a maximum of 30 views, and my followers weren’t growing.

I even thought my account might be banned and considered starting a new account to try again. I had my doubts if Twitter was for me or if my content would be interesting, but I kept moving forward and trying.

❗The most important thing is that if there are no results, you need to change your approach

I found something that works for me.

This is my strategy:

– Follow people in your niche and turn on notifications. As soon as they post, leave a comment to be among the first and maximize their reach. But don’t just say “Good luck!” — write a review, tip, or recommendation that is truly helpful and detailed that sparks discussions, likes, and profile visits.

– Every day, I look for interesting posts related to my topics and comment on them. Posts should be no longer than 10-12 hours.

– My posting time is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Bangkok time, which is the high activity time on X in the morning in the United States.

– Posts should contain numbers and data. This will attract attention and interest, even if it’s something like “10 new users” or “make a dollar.”

– Keep the image simple – make it clear and highlight key points.

– Personal photos and videos with real emotions work well.

– Lists are easily disseminated and users can save them to bookmarks.

– Put the main point of your post in the first sentence and then explain it in detail.
Format text so it’s easy to read and visually clear.

– Retweet other people’s recent posts that have viral potential. This way you can gain views and improve your statistics, thereby increasing your chances of showing up in feeds and searches.

– Update and improve your profile page. Change your photos and covers, experiment. Always include a link to your project. When people visit your profile, they click on them. It’s free traffic/users/customers and it works great. Consistency is key, so keep up the good work.

– Don’t place links in your posts. X treats links in tweets as spam and will not rank them well. You can use tricks like “my project gone(.)domains” or include a link in your profile so that users interested in your review will visit your profile.
