I finally got a chance to test Canon’s new hybrid unit, the R5 Mark II. The camera features greatly improved autofocus powered by the new Digic X processor, new eye-controlled autofocus, a back-illuminated sensor for faster readouts and better low-light performance, and Stunning video specifications, such as internal 8K recording color profiles using Canon Log 2.
But while these specs sound impressive (and they are), using the R5 Mark II also brought back many memories of previous 5D cameras that have figured prominently in my professional and personal life for over 15 years. , especially the 5D Mark II.
