my colleagues Mateusz Markosevic Wrote a great article SEO for Nerdwallet Recent Strategies I highly recommend you read. So it’s no surprise to see Nerdwallet’s compound interest calculator pop up in this article’s research.

If we insert the parent /calculator/ Enter subfolder website browserof front page In the report, we can see two things.

I found these sites using two tools from Ahrefs: web browser and Batch Analysis 2.0.
Here’s how to re-establish it:
1. Go to web browser and enter:
inurl:calculator
Then click Search and Export 1000 URLs. Then copy all the sites and go to Batch Analysis 2.0
2. Batch Analysis 2.0 – Post your web browser Website entry Batch Analysis 2.0.
Then export the list and analyze – I highlighted the traffic column below.

If you want to find more ideas for creating your own calculator, you can research using keyword browser.
First, type “calculator” into the search bar keyword browser and click match term Report.

Then you can click to enter Clusters by parent topic Take a look at some of the key calculators people are looking for. Scroll through the results until you find a keyword that you think will work.
Ahrefs says there are 35,819 clusters – plenty of ideas to scour.

In the past, unless you were tech-savvy, you had to hire a developer to build your own calculator.
But these days, it’s as easy as asking your favorite LLM or AI coding tool like Cursor to build it for you.

this is an example calorie calculator It took me about 10 seconds using Cursor. Start with the incredibly complex prompt: “Can you make me a calorie calculator?”

I had Cursor add an Ahrefs flag as a follow-up tip, just for fun, but you get the idea. Customization is very easy.
Side note.
It may take longer to push it to the site, and depending on your setup, you may have to adjust the code to your specific requirements. But the traffic numbers and simplicity of creating these calculators make them another viable way to get organic traffic, especially if you’re in a niche like health or finance and have a well-established website.
final thoughts
When a website owner wants to increase website traffic, the answer is rarely “Let’s build a calculator!” But based on my analysis, there is plenty of traffic out there for those who take the plunge and build one.
Can it replace blog content? No, obviously not. However, if you have a niche website that could be equipped with a calculator, you may be missing out on organic traffic because you don’t have a calculator. The best part is – they’re easier and faster to build than ever before.
