Dot Com Lunch at NEP Cafe Irvine

NEP Café has an innovative view of modern Vietnamese cuisine, blending traditional flavors with contemporary cooking techniques. They have two locations. One was in Fountain Valley and the second was in Irvine, which was the place for us to have lunch.

NEP’s approach to Vietnamese cuisine is innovative, transcending traditional boundaries and showing a contemporary Vietnamese dining experience. Cafés are the destination for those seeking to explore the latest and most in Vietnamese cuisine. Most traditional Vietnamese dishes on NEP are available, but they are presented in a modern and highly manner.

Our lunch started with a seafood ceviche appetizer made from scallops, shrimps, squid and served with Tom Yum sauce made from Thai chili, mango and coconut. It is paired with some rice chips and used as containers. Put the ceviche into the chips and eat the whole food. Very delicious!

Next is NEP’s garlic noodles. This dish is made of garlic butter soy, lemongrass and garlic and it will remind you why Vietnamese cuisine is the best in the world. You can choose to serve this dish with shrimp or crab meat. We went with the shrimp. It was burnt perfectly and got along well with the noodles.

The last dish is why we first came to NEP: BánhMìChao. This dish includes a variety of meats (the most popular meat is usually beef né), sausage, eggs and eggs, topped with bread. Basically, this is a deconstructed Vietnamese.

Our Bánh Mì Chao was served with filet mignon, dressed in black pepper, two sunny eggs, pork rolls, pâté and tomatoes. Place bread on the side basket. You can eat it alone or mix it with the main course.

Lunch for two people is just over $40 each, which is higher than a typical Vietnamese restaurant, but still offers decent value for quality and service level. Irvine has no shortage of restaurants in Asia. In this city, this requires a lot to stand out. NEP Cafe does this with its unique Vietnamese flavor.
