Nova Entertainment appoints Kim Keaton as Director of Podcast Partnerships

Nova Entertainment strengthens its digital leadership lineup by announcing Kim Kerton as the newly created podcast partnership director.

Nova’s Brand Entertainment Division created the role, responsible for podcast-led content partnerships and presentation integrations.

Kerton rejoined the business for the past five years as a senior strategic consultant for brands such as Queensland Tourism, Colonial First Slate, Tasmania Tourism and AGL, defining their podcast content, audience and monetization strategies. She is a well-known podcast creator, producer and host.

Prior to that, she was the head of Nova Create Sydney, leading brand integration solutions for some of the country’s largest audio advertisers, with over 15 years of sales leadership experience.

Nova’s director of business strategy Kate Murphy described Kerton as a unique qualification to play the role.

“When it comes to brand interaction, radio sets standards for creativity and connectivity depth in audio and beyond. Nova has been a market leader in that area, and Kim’s appointment shows that our intentions cover the same standards of access, impact and impact customers have in our podcast content.”

“Kin is a unique talent, an expert in content and commercial podcasts, and a wealth of experience in commercial brand integration. She knows a lot about how to maximize our content, talent and audiences represent the potential of advertisers.”

“For me, it felt like the best of both worlds – back to Nova and start doing what I love. As a podcast, I understand the balancing behavior between building a conversation that connects with the audience and then building meaningful characters for the brands in it.”

“I know podcast advertising has greater potential. I know I’m in the right business to unlock it.”

Kerton’s appointment coincides with several major champions recently announced to join the Nova Podcast network, including Schwartz Media’s 7 a.m.John Media Backstage with Cooper & Matty Johns and John Family Podcast.

These signings and Kerton’s appointments, which further express business confidence to Nova’s digital transformation after Michelle Golding (Digital Strategy Director) and Rebecca Jeffrey (Digital Director) joined from the BBC and seven networks respectively in 2024.
