Excellent audiotape is a leading magazine and has key coverage on entertainment and podcasts, officially launching “Off Record” for a community-centric media business that facilitates real-time conversations between podcast executives, creatives and brands. Each event brings together diverse industry leaders and inspires conversations around hyper-related topics to the development medium.
An informal monthly coffee party in Brooklyn, NY, which began in 2023 – first hosted by Jeff Weiner, Joe Fucigna and Dane Cardiel, has now evolved into a formal network and new brand that will be under the leadership of Dane Cardiel, Kristin Myers and Meggan Myers and Meggan Myers, who will build a record label on the record, and they discovered the record’s los in Chapter Chapter in Los in Los in Los in Caca, CA, CA.
As podcasts consolidate their position in mainstream media, Records provides direction and intention for the industry’s growing identity crisis, providing strategic thinking with room for discussion beyond surface levels and towards collaborative problem-solving.
“This idea remains the same as when we first started – connecting a good but often isolated podcast leader who really cares about the future of the medium,” said Dane Cardiel, founder of Good Tape.
“These leaders have deep expertise in the industry’s ecosystem and have a clear understanding of what’s missing and what’s needed solutions, but are too isolated to impact widespread change. Recording is a container where these thinkers can go beyond conversation and act.”
Through intentionally curated coffee, happy hour or dinner parties, the record label brings together decision makers to go beyond obstacles, share expertise, and collectively shape the next chapter of the industry.
“I think it’s something for the podcast,” said Kristen Myers, host of the Los Angeles chapter. “There are more boutique teams, more great consultants, more ways to monetize and grow than ever before, but none of that matters if the landscape can’t be browsed. There are still fundamental challenges and the lack of territory to commemorate. We need all the enthusiasm, technology and expertise that we can find it, we need to be in one room and we can make money.
Records is an honor to be able to work with one of our launch partners with Boutique Podcast Marketing Consulting. More information about closing records, partnership opportunities, or requesting invitations to our next party
