Finally, you can fold to the beach. The Google Pixel 10 Pro fold is formal, matching last year’s retail price of $1,799 and has an IP68 rating. This means full water and Dust resistance, something other foldable manufacturers haven’t figured out yet, and it’s not a small feat for devices with moving parts.
The 10 Pro Fold uses a new hinge with a gearless design, which Google says can better protect drops. Of course, it felt solid, although it wasn’t too stiff when I unfolded and folded my phone up again. The creases on the interior screen don’t look more prominent in my eyes, but I usually don’t get bothered by the crease anyway.
Very small particles are Special attention to folding. A piece of sand or dirt working under a sensitive internal screen can cause it to fail. The folding phone has some protection against particles, such as the brush in the hinge to protect against dust, but it has not been considered completely dusty until now. The QI2 is a welcome addition to the Android ecosystem, which supports up to 15W charging for 10 Pro folds and is compatible with a full range of phone accessories thanks to the embedded magnets in the device. Google is calling its version of PixelsNap, and I can confirm that its first-party magnetic ring handle will still stick to the folded phone even while hanging the phone over the ring. Is it still a little uncomfortable for me? Absolutely.
One position 10 Pro folds No The improvement provided is the camera hardware. The folded sensor and lens are still powerful than two tablet-style professional phones, with smaller photosensitive hardware. Google may have addressed resistance on folding phones, but hasn’t found a way to stuff a better camera.
