The new Listnr podcast discovers the most wanted hidden way Australia wants for years

The Prison Break was released on Listner, a roller coaster six-part investigation documentary series that tells the incredible story of Darko (aka “Dougie”) Desic, a widely successful herbicide who staged a bold prison escape and retained it for decades in the run.

The police were dumbfounded when a neatly dressed man in his 60s walked into Why Dee in the NSW Police Department.

DARKO DESIC: A prison escaper, played in Australia’s most wanted most wanted criminal, has been running away from police since he was eliminated from Grafton Charr with a hand card and bolt cutter thirty years ago. Over the years, Darko survived his wit, charm and cunning, avoiding many close-range calls that raised their hair.

In a six-part podcast documentary series, award-winning journalist and writer Tim Eliott brings listeners into the extraordinary true story of Darko Desic and tells it in leaking words. Darko brought the audience back to his arrival in Australia from Yugoslavia, where he was arrested for growing marijuana, a bold escape from Prion’s escape and how to escape prisoners.

Darko works for some of the richest and most powerful executives in port cities. He was Avalon’s beloved local, but the police couldn’t find him. Once detained, the North Beach community will be released.

Fascinated by the story of Darko’s survival and confidentiality (including how he turned to DIY dentistry with pliers), Elliot followed Darko for in-depth interviews to learn the truth about the people behind the myth.

Tim Elliot said: “I love the stories of escape, and when I heard about this escapee leading the double life, I had to know more.

Clair Weaver, Director of Listnr at Clair Weaver, added: “The secret we keep is a wild, wild story about a quirky but cute anti-hero that wants to tell your friends.”

Darko now disappears again, making jailbreak the only, perhaps the final firsthand narrative of his extraordinary story.
