When creating an ad, you can select the AI-generated image options. You can add brand new AI images that are inspired by your original creativity.
Alternatively, you can choose from a variety of AI-generated backgrounds.
When you do this, these versions are included in your original idea as an option. The question is how often they perform and how they perform.
View performance
You can use Creative decomposition. If you have this option, select Image Generation.
You will then get the original image and the generated image in separate lines. Here is an example where over 40% of my budget is used for generated images.
For its value, I only used the background version. The fully generated AI image is a slope.
The results are roughly the same. In fact, the cost per conversion is almost the same. However, these versions are not entirely different, so it’s not that surprising.
Nevertheless, it is helpful to see metadata select these images over the original ones. If you use Meta’s AI-generated image options or are not sure if it’s OK, I encourage you to test and use this failure.
